Great with iOS 13 - StitchBuddy HD 2.17

StitchBuddy v2.17 is dramatically improving the integration with iOS 13, bringing support for “Open in place” and Quick Look.

Now you can preview and open designs from the Files app of iOS 13 without importing them in StitchBuddy’s gallery. Apple calls this method “Open in place”, and it allows a seamless integration of apps including the support of external storage locations like Dropbox, Google, or USB drives.

Goodbye, file clutter [Updated]

Goodbye, file clutter [Updated]

For almost a decade StitchBuddy is supporting different color palettes. An additional file is saved when you choose a vendor’s thread chart, cluttering your embroidery folders. This time is going to end.

I have found a way to save thread information without creating additional files, but still keeping the native file format of your embroidery machine. Many other embroidery programs are introducting their own, proprietary file formats to save meta data. StitchBuddy is always working on orginal files, allowing modifications down to stitch level without importing / exporting back and forth.

StitchBuddy 2.16

Website secured

You might have noticed the little padlock in your web browsers address bar when visiting this website: Finally I updated StichBuddy’s website to use TLS encryption to protect its communication with your web browser.

Without a user login, web shop etc. no crucial private data is transmitted when visiting this website. Nevertheless it is a good - and more and more common - practice to encrypt web traffic and I am happily supporting this initiative.
